Brittni Paiva

We are excited to announce that Brittni Paiva will be attending the Tahoe Area Uke Fest and will be performing Saturday afternoon at a time to be announced. We may adjust workshop 15 minutes one way or another to make sure everyone who want to see her can do so.

She is also available for individual or group lessons on Sunday after the festival ends for those of you staying in the area. If you are interested in reserving a lesson with Brittni, please email me advise the type of lesson you would like and I will see about setting it up for you!

More Uke Giveaways!

by admin on March 8, 2010

Alo-HAA!

We’ll we are inside of two weeks now until Tahoe Area Uke Fest II and we have two more ukes to add to the list of raffle giveaways! First a recap

Gordon and Char at Mya-Moe have graciously donated our first Grand Prize, a stunning Koa Tenor Tradition pictured at left, built for the fest by Gordon at Mya-Moe Ukuleles. It is gorgeous, both in looks and in sound, and plays wonderfully. It retails for $850 and one of YOU will walk away with it! Thank you so much. Rich and I have both traded of “quality control testing” and we love it. I think Rich is going to buy one soon!

Next, our sponsoring builder from Tahoe Uke Fest I, Mike DaSilva, is building a custom, themed soprano for the event that should be spectacular (as are all of his instruments). Mike built a custom longneck for our 2009 Fest that had everybody drooling. He gave me a hint at the theme of this uke but it’s still largely a secret. We can’t wait. Again, one of YOU will take it home.

Kala Ukulele has generously donated three instruments, a Koa Tenor, a Standard Tenor, and a Travel Soprano, plus a number of electronic tuners, tee-shirts, and more.

And now, Kiwaya USA has donated both a Kiwaya KS-1 mahogany soprano and a Loprinzi walnut soprano to the ever growing stash of loot! That means we will be giving away at least seven ukuleles during the drawings at about 3:30 pm on Saturday! Again, everyone gets a free raffle ticket at the registration desk (where you pick up your workshop tickets) and you can buy more, $1 each, TEN for $5, or FIFTY for $20!

And, in addition to the ukes, we have CDs, Books, Tees, Strings, and more!!!  See you all real soon!
