MOVE OVER FLUKE! Great quality plus freebies! Unbeatable value!

Travel tenor

Until now, if someone asked me the best bang for the buck in a sub-$300 tenor uke, I would have had to say Jim Beloff’s Fluke. No more! The new king of low cost tenor ukes has got to be the wonderful new Kala Travel Tenor. Personally, I was never comfortable with the flat end of the Fluke as the corner irritates my arm, but that’s because of my particular style of holding it when I play. The Fluke really is a fine instrument with the rosewood fretboard tenor models starting at $290. (I highly advise against the plastic fretboard models). Some people swear by them and I can’t argue. But Kala has topped the Fluke with this new tenor. It is just as loud. It has more “woody” tone to my ears. It looks cool, has great curves! The fretboard is more comfortable for me. It feels good to hold. AND it can be had for about half the price! (And here’s a shameless plug… if you buy one from us, you get free freight, a free $25 tuner, a free embroidered travel bag, and a free PlayUke Tutor Gizmo!) It’s an unbeatable uke value!

I have been playing my Surf Fluke for a year and love it, but I too was missing that “woody” tone. My new Kala Travel Tenor sounds, looks and feels great, and the thin body is much more comfortable on the forearm. I second the idea that this should be the first uke of choice for any newbie….
