In the uke world, it’s sort of the equivalent of the Beatles and the Stones appearing in the same festival! Tahoe Area Uke Fest is well-jazzed to announce that, thanks to John Ascuaga’s Nugget, Jake Shimabukuro and James Hill will both appear in twin, uke-superstar-concerts to celebrate the first day of spring in Reno, Nevada.
Actually, the fest will take place in Sparks, (which is Reno’s often maligned, bordering twin sister), at the fabulous Nugget Resort Hotel & Casino. We’ll be taking over a floor and maybe more, spreading ukeness throughout the towers and hallways and the main showroom! With these two ukegods and a few other surprise artists, Tahoe Area Uke Fest II is sure to kick off the 2010 festival year with a bang unlike any other!
Visitor, workshop, concert, accommodations, and vendor details will be posted very soon. Lots of emailing and updating to do, I have. For now, just pencil in that date! Feel free to email me.
